PAD Tree Decorating for Christmas in the Park - November 26 - 3:30pm - San Jose
Join us in kicking off the holiday season by decorating Phi Alpha Delta's tree for San Jose's Christmas in the Park! The PAD tree will be displayed for all to see throughout the holidays. 

Decorating festivities will take place on Wednesday, November 26 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Plaza de Cesar Chavez in downtown San Jose. We look forward to seeing you out there!

Santa Run Silicon Valley- Sunday, December 14 - Downtown San Jose
Join PAD alumni, law student members and our friends and family to run the Santa Run Silicon Valley. This fun event starts on Sunday evening and ends in Christmas in the Park. This will be the third year we have participated in this fun-filled holiday event.

Law School Chapter Engagement Co-Chairs

PAD Alumni members Elena Gekker (Temple Chapter) and Isabelle Tan (Ford Chapter) have graciously agreed to serve as our Law School Chapter Engagement Co-Chairs. They will be the Alumni Chapter's liaisons with Bay Area law school chapters. We are grateful to have both Isabelle and Elena join us as chapter officers.

100 Year Anniversary Picnic and BBQ

The first PAD alumni chapter in San Francisco was chartered in 1914. Help us honor the legacy of our founding members by joining us on Saturday, October 18, 2014 for a Picnic and BBQ at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Spend some time with area alumni, law school and pre-law members and celebrate the grand traditions of Phi Alpha Delta.

The San Francisco PAD Alumni Chapter 100 Year Anniversary Commemorative T-Shirt

The San Francisco Alumni Chapter is taking orders for t-shirts to commemorate our first 100 years. Shirts cost $16.00 each. Shirts will be ready and will be available for pick up at the our 100 year Anniversary Picnic on 10/18. Shirts can also be shipped to those who cannot attend the event. Shirts are $16.00 each and are available in sizes S-4XL (Unisex/Mens). Payments can be made in person, via paypal or Bank of America. All orders must be received by Noon PDT on Oct. 3. The PAD Literary Club

The San Francisco Alumni Chapter created the PAD Literary Club and held the first meeting in November 2013. For almost a year we have held monthly (almost) meetings to discuss books of all types. Our group has grown of this year and we are very excited about the books we have selected for the remainder of the year.

Join us for one or all of the upcoming meetings and contribute to the lively, fraternal conversations. All meetings are held at the Franklin Street Caffe (1053 El Camino Real, Redwood City, Ca). This location is located right next to the Redwood City Caltrain station. We have members who attend from all over the Bay Area. All law school and alumni members and their friends and family are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Congratulations to our New District II District Justice

Congratulations to our newly appointed District II District Justice, Kaitlin Litzau. Kaitlin has been a very active PAD member since joining Ryan Chapter at the University of Wisconsin. Kaitlin currently serves at the San Francisco PAD Alumni Chapter Vice Justice and recently attended the 60th Biennial PAD Convention in Scottsdale.

We would like to thank PAD's International Justice Stephen King and the rest of the International Executive Board for making the appointment.

The Alumni chapter looks forward to working closely with our new District Justice to build a strong and thriving district.

Come enjoy a bonfire, the sound of the waves and watch the sunset at Ocean Beach. The bonfire area is located around Stairwell 21. Look for our PAD banner. Feel free to bring a blanket and/or chairs.

Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival - September 14 - 11:00am - Meadow Stage in Central Park 
Meet up with area PAD members to attend the Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival. This event has over 175 art and crafts vendors as well as 25 community groups serving food, wine and micro-brews.

The event is being held in Central Park in Santa Clara (on Kiely Blvd.  See attached map for details, http://santaclaraca.gov/modules/showdocument.aspx?documentid=11838). We will meet in the Meadow Stage Area. Look for the PAD Banner.

District II District Leadership Conference - September 27 - 9:00am - 4:00pm. 199 Fremont St, 14th Floor, San Francisco. 
District II will be holding its annual District Conference on Saturday, September 27. This conference is a great opportunity to learn about PAD and how to make your chapter a success. Alumni members are encouraged to attend to network with and mentor local law school members.

Join us for the District II Leadership Conference, held at the University of Phoenix offices in San Francisco. We'll start the morning with mimosas and bagels, and then launch into some great content on chapter operations, executive office updates, and other relevant content. 

We'll also have a social event afterwards, with location TBD.

PAD Quest - October 10-11 - 7pm
Join us for this fun scavenger hunt. PAD teams from around the country will participate in a little friendly competition to find items on the list. Help us win this challenge and show the rest of the country that Bay Area PADs are the best. PAD Wine Tasting, Bocce Ball and Picnic on Treasure Island - April 5, 2014

Join area PAD members for an afternoon of wine tasting and bocce ball on Saturday, April 5. The festivities start at 1:00pm at Vie Winery on Treasure Island, (400 California Avenue, Bldg 448, San Francisco, CA 94130) with wine tasting followed by a picnic and bocce ball.  Cost is $15 and includes the wine tasting, bocce ball and main course for the picnic. PAD at the Quakes Game - June 28, 2014 - Stanford Stadium.

The SF Bay Area PAD Alumni Chapter will be attending the Quakes (soccer game for those not in the know) on June 28th. The Quakes will be playing the LA Galaxy at Stanford Stadium and tickets will be roughly $20 or less depending on the number of attendees. If you are interested in mingling with your alumni chapter please RSVP to Addyson Wester no later than February 28th. Money will be collected no later than March 31st.

DATE CHANGE - 3rd Meeting of the PAD Literary Club - March 20, 2014

Our third meeting of the PAD Literary Club will be on Thursday, March 20, 2014. We'll be meeting at 7:00pm at the Franklin Street Cafe. They serve breakfast ALL day, who wouldn't want to go back to that place!

Our book for this meeting is The Wife, the Maid, and the Mistress by Ariel Lawhon. The book has just been released on Kindle and Nook.

This is a great way to connect with the SF Alumni Chapter. We hope some of the new graduates and students will join us and start attending some alumni events. Please feel free to share this with anyone who is not on the list. I know I'm not FB friends with everyone who may be interested!
