Hit the slopes with other Bay Area PAD Members. The San Francisco Bay Area Alumni Chapter is going to Heavenly Ski Resort, http://www.skiheavenly.com/, February 20-22. We will ski and take in the local apres-ski activities.

This event is open to all PAD members and their friends and family.

Saturday, February 21 - Breakfast
Skiing at Heavenly - Lifts open at 9:00am.
Apres-ski beverages in the Village after the lifts close at 4:00pm
                                      Dinner  at Tep's Villa Roma - 7:00pm.
Sunday, February 22 - Breakfast, More skiing at Heavenly. We can do apres-ski beverages and dinner with anyone who wants to stay Sunday night.

If you'd like to bring your puppy and don't want to leave them in the room all day while you ski, there is a great doggy daycare called Tahoe's Best Friends, http://www.tahoebestfriends.com/. They are open 7am to 7pm for daycare. Seamus loves to hang out there while we ski.

Hotels
South Lake Tahoe is full of hotels ranging from budget to swanky. There are also casinos with nice hotels in the area. Many of the casinos are within walking distance of the Heavenly Gondola and Village.

I have stayed at the following places and would recommend them:

Howard Johnson's Express - Clean, convenient budget hotel. There is a great breakfast place in the same parking lot. They are dog friendly.

Park Tahoe - Nice, mid-range hotel located across the street from the Heavenly Gondola and Village. Also, dog friendly.

Rodeway Inn Casino Center. Nice, budget hotel with balconies. Located close to the lake and the Heavenly Gondola and Village. Again, dog friendly.

Expedia has some pretty decent prices listed, http://www.expedia.com/Hotel-Search?#&destination=South Lake Tahoe, California, United States of America&startDate=02/20/2015&endDate=02/22/2015&adults=2

Also there are a lot of private rentals. AirBnB.com is a great source for those rentals.

Lift Tickets
Usually Sports Basement and REI have discount tickets. Sports Basement has full price lift tickets and then gives you a $20 gift card.
Sports Basement - http://community.sportsbasement.com/rentals/lift-tickets/$125 for a 1 day ticket. You get a $20 SB gift card.

REI - http://www.rei.com/lift-ticket$115 for a 1 day ticket. Includes a $5 food/beverage voucher.

Heavenly Pre-purchase Online - http://www.skiheavenly.com/plan-your-trip/lift-tickets/lift-tickets-explorer.aspx?Search=2/20/2015,2/22/2015,1,0,0,0$99 - One day, $198 - Two day.

Equipment Rental Options
Sports BasementIf you need rental equipment, I recommend getting it from Sports Basement. It's cheaper and easier. They let you pick it up as early as Tuesday and return it Monday and still only charge a weekend rate of $35. Here is the link to the information, http://community.sportsbasement.com/rentals/snow/Heavenly and Other South Lake Tahoe Rental Options

You can also rent equipment at Heavenly or other vendors in the South Lake Tahoe area.  Heavenly has a link to area providers. http://www.skiheavenly.com/plan-your-trip/equipment-rentals/equipment-rentals.aspx.
